Cherry blossoms and hazy sunshine = perfect recipe for engagement shoot.  Megan and Aaron and I hit a few secret spots on an orchard where Aaron used to work as a teenager.  Then headed to Lake Michigan…of course.

Just got in a sample book for my studio from Kolo. I’m really impressed with the fit and finish and paper.  I will offer these as a entry level album for this season.

I’m so excited about these images. I just got them back from the lab…yes that’s right these are digital scans of my new medium format FILM camera. I just love the soft antique look to them. No Photoshop wizardry here folks these images are strait out of the camera.  Think of it like this: yes a new digital reproduction of Miles Davis might technically sound cleaner but there is something thrilling about listening to a vinyl record – it’s not perfect but it has so much more character.  I feel the same way about film, the grain, the softness…I just love it.

Note: I’ll still be shooting digital images at my weddings. Each package will come with a few rolls of film (4-5).  For additional film coverage I have an add-on film package.
